Dear Members,
The Gabriola Land and Trails Trust (GaLTT) will be holding its Annual General Meeting on February 23, 2010 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Roxy Theatre. As always we will have an interesting presentation. This year it will be on native plants by Stephanie Mills of the Nanaimo and Area Land Trust (NaLT) Native Plant Project.
Stephanie Mills is a biologist, clinical herbalist and plant enthusiast. She studied biology at McGill University in Montreal and completed a 4 year program in herbal medicine at Dominion Herbal College. She also has a small business which specializes in all-natural, hand-made herbal products crafted with wild and organically grown B.C. plants. Stephanie is thrilled to be involved with the Edible Wild Plants Project at NALT.
We are also pleased to offer an afternoon outdoor workshop with Stephanie Mills on native plant identification. The workshop is open to GaLTT members on a first come, first served basis. To register for the workshop please e-mail Dyan Dunsmoor-Farley at ddfarley@shaw.ca or phone 250 247-8060.
Doors open at 7:00. We look forward to seeing you there,
On behalf of the GaLTT board,
Dyan Dunsmoor-Farley President Gabriola Land and Trails Trust (250) 247-9779 or (250) 247-8060
